Weather & local time

A card with where you are, the local time and the weather there.

The card shows a place name, the local time, an optional date, and the temperature with an icon and a short description. You can add feels-like, humidity, wind and pressure under the temperature. The place name is coarse. By default it shows your state and country, not your city.

Where the location comes from

In the builder, under Where does the location come from?, choose one:

If you choose a city, coordinates or key and leave it blank, the builder warns you and does not make a link.

How much of your location shows

Show my location as only changes the place name on screen. Weather and time always use the exact spot. The choices are State + country (safest) (starting choice), Country only, State / region only, County, City and Hide location entirely. County and City warn you that they can put your city on stream.

Display options

Metric, imperial or both. Both shows “°F / °C”. Wind and pressure use km/h and hPa for metric and mph and inHg otherwise.

12 or 24 hour. 24 is the start.
Date format
A list with examples. The start is a weekday and date, like “Monday, July 14”.
Show
Tick Location, Local time, Local date and Weather. Date is off to start. If you switch everything off the card disappears.
Weather details
Feels like, Humidity, Wind and Pressure, with a rising, falling or steady arrow for pressure.
Detail layout
One line or Each on its own line (taller).
Refresh (seconds)
How often weather and place update. The minimum is 60 and the start is 300. The clock ticks every second regardless.
Language
English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian or Japanese.

Style

Text alignment, Position, Base text size (px) (34), Text color, Card background, Temperature color and Corner radius (px) (14).

Messages

If the weather or location cannot be loaded, it shows Weather unavailable — allow location access, or set a location. This can take up to about half a minute, or appear straight away if location is blocked. It keeps the last good data and tries again on the next refresh. In the builder preview, once it is live, that message means either allow location or choose a city or coordinates.

Where the data comes from

Weather, time zone and city search come from Open-Meteo. Place names come from OpenStreetMap Nominatim. Neither needs a key. Weather data is by Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0) and place names are © OpenStreetMap contributors. The RTIRL service is contacted only if you give a key.

Advanced: change it in the link

Everything the builder does is a setting in the link after the #. Only settings you change are written.
